  2. Hallo Barbara, my name is Robert Frampton, grandson of Elsa Emily Schmidt Halliday of Belize City Belize. I am just trying to follow any leads/connections that I find on the surname “Schmidt” as I have been trying for sometime to dig for info on my grandmother’s lineage. Her father was Richard Paul Schmidt married to Mitta(Metta) Margaret Jairus and supposedly born in Germany somewhere. They ended up in Belize sometime around 1900s I think but my Grandmother Elsa, told us they were orphans & did not seem to know their parents. I thought I’d reach out to you when i saw your last name & your mention of Belize, British Honduras. I appreciate your time taken to read this & am hoping that you are doing well.
