On July 21, 1871 he married the farmer’s daughter Maria Sophia Elisabeth Margarethe MEIER in Groß Trebbow, Mecklenburg-Schwerin.

Following their marriage Maria moved with him to Diedrichshagen.

The couple had five children I know of far. But there is an eight year gap between child three and four. I guess there are more children, though.

Joachim got laid to rest in Diedrichshagen on April 4, 1913.
