March 8 – Engel Maria Elisabeth Viereck

The “Hamburger Vergleich” an amicable settlement contract signed on March 8, 1701 sealed the seperation of Mecklenburg into the duchies Mecklenburg-Schwerin and Mecklenburg-Strelitz.

And with the Treaty of Roskilde from March 8, 1658 Denmark looses its territories in southern Sweden to the Sweden, which reaches its biggest size in Sweden’s history.

On my family tree we face the death of Engel Maria Elisabeth VIERECK on March 8, 1925 in Upahl, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany.

She was born on May 30 or May 31, 1848 in Törber, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany into the marriage of the labourer Hans Heinrich VIERECK and his wife Maria Elisabeth née LÜTH. I have two records with those two different birth dates.

She married the farmer Ernst Heinrich Karl Ferdinand Püstow  from Upahl, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany on November 6, 1868 in Diedrichshagen, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany.

So far I found one daughter for them being born in 1870 in Upahl, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany.

Engel got laid to rest on March 12, 1925 on the curch cemetary of Diedrichshagen, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany.
