“We’re more popular than Jesus now” – The famous statement mady by John Lennon regarding the Beatles in an interview he gave the Evening Standard on March 4, 1966. But not only famous – it was controverse, too. Some radiostations in the US started to boycott the Beatles – not playing their songs anymore.
On my family tree we meet Karoline Sofia Wilhelmine BUMANN. She died on March 4, 1949 in Grevesmühlen, Mecklenburg, Germany.
The original entry provided an incorrect birth date which was corrected via a signed remark on the left of the page.
Karoline was born on May 8, 1878 in Upahl, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany. As far as I know so far she was the first born daughter of Johann Christian Heinrich BUMANN and his wife Dorothea Friederike Henriette née KRUSE.
She received her christening in the church of Diedrichshagen on May 19, 1878 and her confirmation at the same place on April 10, 1892.
The 1900 census shows her living in Upahl, working as seamstress.
Five years later on October 20, 1905 she married the mailman from Piperkaten, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany Wilhelm Joachim Heinrich Martin STÖTER in Diedrichshagen, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany.
So far I didn’t find any children for the couple.
