December 6 – Today in my family tree

On December 6, 1917 the parliament in Helsinki declares Finland’s independence from Russia.

The first volume of the first edition of the Encyclopaedia Britannica gets published on December 6, 1768.

I have a little boy today in my family tree.

My second cousin 3x removed August Joachim Johannes FREYTAG is born on December 6, 1891 in Diedrichshagen, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany.

He is the second child of Joachim Heinrich Claus FREYTAG and Caroline Auguste Elisabeth KABEN. But there is a seven year gap between him and his older brother. My guess is that there are more siblings which I haven’t found yet.

He received his christening on December 26, 1891 in Diedrichshagen.

Only a bit over one year later he died on February 21, 1893 and got laid to rest on February 25, 1893 in Diedrichshagen.
