November 25 – Days of goodbyes

November 25, 1963 – the late President John F. Kennedy gets laid to rest on Arlington National Cemetary. The funeral service is attended by approximately 1 million people (according to New York Times)

Following the end of the American War of Indepence the last British Troops leave the United States from New York on November 25, 1783

In my family tree it is a day of a goodbye, too.

On November 25, 1955 Heinrich Andreas Joachim WARNKE, the husband of my 2nd cousin 4x times removed died in Diedrichshagen, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany.

I already told you about his wedding with Dorothea Maria Henriette HAGEDORN in my blog from October 23.

But what I didn’t have then was their wedding entry

And again a neat german clerk was so nice to note their death dates on their wedding entry. I just love when this happens ;)
