I am a couple of minutes late with my first blog post in this category, but it took me a while to find an entry for this day in my family tree.
October 8, 1886 was the day that my second cousin three times removed Hans Heinrich Christian Körner died in Diedrichshagen in the grandduchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin.
Today this is part of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the northeastern part of Germany.
Hans Heinrich was just 2 days old when he died. He was born the second child of Heinrich Christian Wilhelm Körner and his wife Wilhelmine Catharina Maria née Brüggemann.
He was baptised the day after his birth, October 7 and buried October 11, 1886 in Diedrichshagen.
Unfortunately, he wasn’t the only child his parents lost within the first year after giving birth.
